About Our Catering Services

We are proud to be the exclusive caterer at Anne Arundel Community College. We offer a full range of catering services from coffee breaks, boxed lunches, to full service catered events. Our ability to offer a menu that includes an extensive variety of cuisines comes from our passion to continuously educating ourselves in the industry. Our team is dedicated in providing a unique dining experience that meets all your needs. Our client’s vision becomes our vision.

Contacting the Catering Department

In order to provide adequate planning, please contact the Dining Services Department. We strongly urge you to book your catering as far in advance as possible but at least two weeks prior to your event. To contact Dining Services please call (443) 458-4230 or SEND EMAIL.

Advance notice of an event is always appreciated but we will do our best to accommodate any last minute requests. Please note that for last minute requests, a limited menu may be available due to inventory.

Confirmations & Guarantees

A guaranteed number of guests are required 3 Business Days prior to the scheduled event to ensure adequate staff and sufficient quantities of food & beverage for your guests. Number of Guests cannot be DECREASED within 3 Business Days. Only INCREASED.

The Catering Invoice is also your Catering Contract.  If the actual number of guests exceeds the confirmed guest count listed on the Catering Invoice, you will be charged for the additional number of guests. If the number of confirmed guests is lesser than the confirmed guest count, you will still be billed for the confirmed guest count.

Catering Event Service Times

All catering events will include a service time up to 3 hours.  Service time does not include the set up and break down time. Catering events will be set & ready at least 30 minutes prior to the Event Start Time.  Catering break down and clean up will begin at least 30 minutes after the Event End Time.  If any additional time is needed in which the catering continues to be available for the guests, an additional non-prorated per hour rate of $35 per hour will be added to the catering invoice.

Cancellation Policy

If cancellation of an event becomes necessary, please contact Dining Services at (443) 458-4230 or send an SEND EMAIL at least 72 hours prior to your scheduled event. A 60% charge will be assessed if cancelled within 72 hours of the scheduled event date. Same day cancellation will be charged the full amount of the Catering Invoice.

Billing Procedures

AACC caterings being paid with an Internal Budget Number are considered Internal. Catering events being billed to an outside organization including caterings not being paid with and Internal Budget Number are considered External. For External caterings, a 60% deposit of the invoice amount is required at least 15 business days prior to the event date. The remaining balance is due prior to the start of your event. Balance can be paid by the following methods: Visa, MasterCard, Discover, American Express, check, and cash.

External caterings will be charged sales tax unless unless tax exempt.  To be considered tax exempt, you must provide a copy of your Sales Tax Exemption Certificate at least 72 hours prior to your catering event. Otherwise your catering will be subject to Maryland State Sales Tax.

There is an automatic 8% Service Fee added to Internal caterings and 12% Service Fee added to External caterings.  External & Internal catering before & after normal catering operating hours will be charged an 12% Service Fee.

Catering Department Office Hours: Monday through Thursday: 7AM – 7PM & Friday through Sunday 8am-2pm.  After hours please send an email.

Normal Catering Hours: Monday through Thursday: 7AM – 5PM & Friday 8am-2pm.

Weekend and Holiday catering requests will be considered on a case-by-case basis and an 18% Service Fee will be applied.

If the college closes due to inclement weather, caterings will be canceled at all locations. If the college opens late due to inclement weather, catering services may be canceled or may commence one hour after the college opens depending upon circumstances. Conclusion of Event & Safe Food Handling Policy

Our goal is to ensure that all food is properly handled and to minimize food waste and food illness. Good planning and accurate guest counts help us to achieve these goals. Dining Services takes the responsibility of food safety seriously.  Therefore, we do not allow left over food to be carried out.  Catering staff will safety and properly remove all food from the catered event.

Food & Beverage ordered but not consumed at a catered function may NOT be removed from the catering site. Food items used for display or decoration (including cut flowers or any other floral arrangement) may not be removed from the catering site. Please note that outside food and/or beverage are NOT permitted at catered event.

Any equipment removed, inclusive of baskets, serving utensils, decorations, etc. will result in a direct charge to the host account for replacement.

Additional Services

Service Attendants:

  • Normal Operating Hours: $25 per hour
  • After Operating Hours: $30 per hour

Service Attendant hours begin 30 minutes before and 30 minutes after the start and end of the catering event.

  • China Service: China, flatware, and glassware are available. Prices vary and are calculated per event. Service attendants are required at the aforementioned rate whenever china is requested.
  • Floral Arrangements: AACC Dining Services will be happy to provide floral arrangements for your event. Prices are based on the request of the customer.
  • Table and Napkin Linens: $7 per table for Table Linen / $2 per Napkin Linen
  • Menu and Theme Design: We will be delighted to assist you in creating a special menu designed to suit your catering needs. Additionally, we will provide table decorations, props, food design, and floral arrangements to help make your event a memorable one! Please call for information and price quotes.

Pricing and Menu Selection

All prices are per person unless otherwise noted. We make every attempt to provide quality products and services at an affordable price. However, our prices may increase without notice due to escalating food costs. Once your contract has been confirmed, all price quotes would be honored.

Menu can be tailored to event’s specific needs.

IMPORTANT – Catering Orders must be placed at least two weeks prior to event date. However, we may be able to accommodate short notice catering orders. Please SEND EMAIL  to inquire.

Be sure you have your room reserved with Event Services and inform them that your event is being catered.  This will ensure the set up for food & beverage tables and custodial services.
